EmmaLucy has played classical violin since she was six years old, performing in national orchestras while at school, and touring across the UK, Ireland, Europe and Malaysia. Since 2006 she has studied Arabic music, learning from Egyptian, Syrian, Palestinian, Moroccan, Jordanian and British artists. Whilst living in Sinai, EmmaLucy spent many long evenings under the stars playing with Bedouin musicians and visitors from Cairo including musicians from the band Cairokee, members of the Cairo Opera House Orchestra, and participants in Arab Idol. She is honoured to have performed formally with the Baladi Blues Band (UK), Arabesque Orchestra (Toronto, Canada), and Qushma (UK); as well as joining fusion projects with Somerset musicians.
